Sims|Funk has added Robert A. Peal as a partner. Mr. Peal’s experience includes representing clients in business litigation, aviation-related litigation, entertainment litigation, white collar criminal defense, False Claims Act defense and prosecution, products liability litigation, construction litigation, crisis management and internal investigations. Prior to joining Sims|Funk, Mr. Peal was a partner in a well-regarded Nashville firm.

Mr. Peal is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and obtained his law degree summa cum laude from Vanderbilt Law School. Before entering the civil practice of law, Mr. Peal served in the U.S. Marine Corps, first flying the F/A-18D as a flight officer, followed by service as a Judge Advocate senior prosecutor and law center director. While on duty, Mr. Peal deployed three times, serving in Operations Southern Watch, Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan) and Iraqi Freedom.
