Summer Associates:
Sims|Funk’s summer associate program is the means through which we identify and hire new law school graduates. Our summer associate program focuses on candidates who have completed their second (2L) year of law school.
Sims|Funk seeks law students who have shown excellent academic performance at top-tier law schools, participated in extracurricular activities, and are involved in their communities. Our summer program is formulated to provide a realistic experience of what it would be like to be a practicing first-year associate with our firm. The program emphasizes real-world litigation experience including attending client meetings, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials. Our goal is to provide a meaningful summer experience where candidates can build relationships, apply their legal knowledge to challenging matters, and build their skills as litigators.
Our summer program is six weeks, and students may spend either the first or second half of the summer with our office, with flexibility on start and end dates to accommodate their schedules as best we can. To apply for our summer associate program, please apply through your school’s OCI process, or contact us here.
