Summer Associates:

Sims|Funk’s summer associate program is the means through which we identify and hire new law school graduates.  Our summer associate program focuses on candidates who have completed their second (2L) year of law school.

Sims|Funk seeks law students who have shown excellent academic performance at top-tier law schools, participated in extracurricular activities, and are involved in their communities.  Our summer program is formulated to provide a realistic experience of what it would be like to be a practicing first-year associate with our firm.  The program emphasizes real-world litigation experience including attending client meetings, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.  Our goal is to provide a meaningful summer experience where you can build relationships, apply your legal knowledge to challenging matters, and build your skills as a litigator.

Our summer program is six weeks, and students may spend either the first or second half of the summer with our office, with flexibility on start and end dates to accommodate their schedules as best we can.  To apply for our summer associate program, please apply through your school’s OCI process, or contact us here.

Lateral Hires:

Sims|Funk is always seeking talented candidates who have a passion and an aptitude for litigation.  Interested attorneys should possess proven experience as a litigator, excellent oral and written communication skills, a strong academic background, and a desire to be part of a team that is dedicated to providing outstanding client service.  In order to attract and retain this highest level of talent, Sims|Funk provides benefits and compensation competitive with the largest firms in Nashville.

Current Needs:

Sims|Funk currently is seeking an attorney with 1-4 years of litigation experience.  To learn more or to apply, please contact us here.
